Oakland County Health Division welcomed its first drive-up testing site for COVID-19 on April 16th. The site, located in the Oakland County Complex in Pontiac, is slated to help test first responders, essential employees, adults age 65 or older, those with underlying conditions and residents of Pontiac.
Right now, tests are by appointment only and made through the Health Division’s Nurse on Call hotline, 800-848-5533. Testing started at 50-100 tests per day on Thursday and Friday. It is expected to increase to around 250 tests per day beginning Monday, April 20. All tests will be run Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm.
Where to go: Oakland County Complex, 1200 N. Telegraph Road, Pontiac. Drive-thru testing will take place in the parking lot behind the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office, Building 28E, on County Center Drive E.
