Want to Help Your Local Beaumont Healthcare Workers? Send Encouraging Messages!

This post was written by Michelle Fedorowicz, OUWB medical student, adapted by post from Amy Ikeler on Facebook.

A few days ago Amy Ikeler, a Pediatric ICU nurse at Beaumont Children’s Hospital, along with her colleagues decided to spread cheer to the hardest hit COVID-19 units at Beaumont Royal Oak. They dropped off baskets of goodies to nurses, doctors and respiratory therapists. Amy says they, “were so touched and grateful. Some were in tears and said these days have been the hardest days in their careers.”

Amy and her team also passed out handwritten letters of encouragement from nurses and their kids to those working on the front lines at Beaumont. Amy shared that the  notes helped them get through their tough day.

Amy Ikeler is continuing to collect notes to distribute to the healthcare workers at Beaumont Hospital – Royal Oak and they want your input ! If you’d like to send art or write a note to front line workers please send all messages to one of these:

-PO Box #211018, Auburn Hills, MI 48321 c/o LifeChurch Auburn Hills

-email letterstohealthcareworkers@gmail.com

This is especially a great idea to do while kids are home and need activities to stay busy!
